Programmed Call Transfer Options

Today, telephone system technology and telephone service providers offer features and services to ensure a timely and certain transfer of your lines to Image without requiring voice contact with our staff.  
Image Office Services uses some of these same features during the course of our business.

If you have your own telephone system at your business, check with your phone system provider for features that will automatically transfer your lines to Image.  If your system does not provide these features or you do not have an in-house telephone system, contact your telephone company for alternatives to the manual transfer of your lines.  Most have features to transfer your lines and return them to you at designated times each day.  This will ensure that your transfers will get to Image, and back to you, when intended without error. 

For example, Qwest Communications offers “Remote Access Call Forwarding” and “Call Planner”. Some of the benefits are:
For Standard phone lines and T1/PRI lines:

	Call forward your lines without the need for verbal contact at the transfer location.
	You may call forward your business numbers from any phone, anywhere, at anytime.  You do not have to be at the phone number being transferred.
	Your phone line remains available for your outbound use even when call forwarded.
	Manual call forward options are still available (if necessary).
	The busy–no-answer feature can still be used when calls are not forwarded.
	Dependable transfers.  Ensures that you have a solid transfer and that your calls will get to Image.
	There is also a feature available for those with standard phone lines called Scheduled Forwarding, which may be of interest to you.

For T1/PRI lines only:
    (Call Planner - $7.95/mo)

	Automatically call forward your lines without the need for verbal contact at the transfer location.
	Can preset multiple automatic call forward times of your choice.  Calls in progress at the automatic call forward times will not disconnect calls already in progress.
	Automatically return your lines to you at designated times.
	Your phone line remains available for your outbound use even when call forwarded.
	Manual call forward options are still available (if necessary).
	The busy–no-answer feature can still be used when calls are not forwarded.
	Dependable transfers. Ensures that you have a solid transfer and that your calls will get to Image.

Please contact your local carrier or go to their website to view the features that they offer.  Most carriers are basically the same and offer the same features.  Costs may vary. For those of you who use Qwest, you may go to www.qwest.com.

On-call information, schedules, and procedures can be quickly and easily conveyed via emails or email attachments (preferred), or by fax.  Among other advantages, using email or fax eliminates the need for Image to enter your data while on the phone with you and it provides documentation and an audit trail that helps prevent misunderstandings of what is being conveyed. 

When you implement your new procedures for transferring your lines, we will allow credits for test calls at startup to verify that your procedure is working properly.  We will work with you to ensure a smooth transition.
